Only one big upset last night as James Madison wins at Michigan state in overtime as a 17 point underdog. Five teams were favored by 28 points or more and all five favorites covered easily. One team fits in that category tonight as Creighton is laying 36 to Florida A@M and they may have that covered by halftime. Wouldn’t be surprised by a 105-48 final. Just a strong opinion. Miizzou and SLU were both covering their big spreads in the second half but the backdoor was open and both failed to cover at the end. Lighter schedule the next three days with a full schedule on Friday and Saturday.
College hoops is in full swing tomorrow with over 110 board games and just about every d-1 team in action with Mizzou and Slu playing at home as big favorites. Slu-16 vs southern indiana and Mizzou -24.5 vs ark pine bluff. Finished last season at 42-31 (57.5%) but was only 9-10 in nov-dec. so picks will be few and far between until January. Hoping for another profitable year. Good luck!

Davidson coming off a bad home loss to GWash now travels to Rhode Island who just had a nice win at Loy Chicago. Davidson can move up to the 8th seed with a win but can fall to the play-in first game with a loss. That should be enough incentive to play well here against a bad Rhode Island team here. Utah State lost to Boise by 23 at Boise and now plays for the number two seed in the Mountain West. Boise just beat number one San diego State at home. Monumental task for them on the road after that upset win.

Aggies haven’t lost at home all year and Bama is coming off a huge emotional win over Auburn. Tennessee has lost it’s star guard Ziegler with season ending injury in last game. Auburn needs this victory. Also lean to Richmond in a revenge game against GMason who is coming off a big overtime win against Fordham

One last chance for SLU to win a conference game against a good opponent. They will have a sellout crowd on senior night and if they can’t play well tonight, there is no hope. Dayton has lost to G Wash, Rhode Island and St. Bonny on the road this year so they are definitely beatable. Also lean to Toledo -4, S. Utah -6, Portland +7 and Utah tech -1

Finally got a last second shot to go our way with Iowa as they cover in overtime. Mich State shot 73% from three point, 86% from the line while shooting 36 FTs, and 59% from the field. Hard to beat a team shooting that well but Iowa found a way. Fun game to win when it looked pretty bleak. We will back Gonzaga tonight in their rematch with St mary’s who beat them in overtime earlier. Gonzaga is a game back and needs this win to get back on top of the conference which they have won 23 times since 1997. They have had this game circled for a while and wouldn’t be surprised to see a typical Gonzaga 20 pt win here. St. Mary’s defense is one of the best in the country so Gonzaga needs to limit turnovers to control the game.
