The Robert Trent Jones Golf trail consists of 11 sites and 26 courses in the state of Alabama. This could possibly take several years to complete, but no time like the present to start planning.
Check the Robert Trent Jones Trail home site for more trail information.
We will add more details as they become available.

Guys, I was chatting with Wally about this and thought I would post it. Some guy named Rick Oster built two rental houses near the RTJ course in Prattville. That’s near Montgomery – about 4 hours south of Nashville and 9 hours from STL. The great thing about this properties is they are built for 8 golfers – four large bedrooms with two queens, a big square table in the kitchen, poker chips, theatre seating for 8, pool table, etc. We ran the numbers and it’s about $2,500 for three nights, so that’s about $100 per night per golfer for lodging. But these are right on the Legislator golf course – walking distance to the clubhouse with a putting green between the two houses.
It would take some planning because we would need 8 players for it to make sense but it sure sounds fun. Maybe next fall when Alabama and Auburn both have home games – we’d have the courses to ourselves. Here are some links and descriptions of one of the houses.

He also has houses in Birmingham which is about an hour closer.

Description:
Spectacular location, overlooking ‘The Legislator’ golf course at Capitol Hill. The setting is private and secluded, only 200 yards from the Capitol Hill entrance gate! The house is brand new, opening for guests in October 2013. It can be rented along with our other Prattville home, which is right next door.
We designed our home for groups to be pampered, so there are many special amenities, including: 4 Master suites, each with an attached bath and two queen-sized beds (8 beds total).
The large, walk-in showers are finished in designer tile and the vanities have granite countertops. The open floor plan offers a ‘great room’ with 60 inch plasma TV, dining/poker table with seating for 8 and a separate billiard room with championship Brunswick table. Every bedroom has an I-pod docking station so you can enjoy your favorite tunes. Each bedroom also has a plasma TV.
The fully equipped kitchen is spacious enough for many cooks, or you can hire one of our personal chefs to prepare meals for you. The outdoor deck, overlooking the golf course, is perfect for relaxing, enjoying a glass of wine or grilling steaks. No expense was spared and no detail overlooked.
Our large, beautiful home is 3,400 square feet of luxury that was designed specifically for groups. We offer a lodging experience that you can not find at a typical hotel. We believe it is the best experience at the best price. Please call us so we can answer your questions and help you make a well informed decision.
Hey Gang, thought i would try to barge into this site. I stayed at the Hyatt at Ross Bridges last spring. Very nice place in the middle of nowhere. Nice bar, and expensive food. Rodge bring your Pizza oven. Of course I didnt play golf. Supposed to be the longest golf course in the country, or something like that. The amount of distance it covers, not the actual playing length. Pat, can you approve me for the site.
You are approved. Good to hear from you. You are all signed up to use the site; you should get an automated email saying how to log on.
